I have been eggsperimenting with some quiche recipes. I came up with this one:

Ingredients
1 unbaked pie shell
1 Tablespoon of margarine
1 pkg of country gravy mix (water according to directions to make about 2 cups)
1/2 cup grated swiss cheese
4 small Jimmy Dean precooked sausage patties cut up
4 eggs (6 bantam eggs)
seasoning salt to taste

1. Preheat oven to 425 F. Line large glass pie dish with unbaked pie crust (I use store bought). Spread margarine onto pie crust. Sprinkle sausage onto pie crust.
2. Make gravy according to pkg. directions and allow to cool.
3. Beat eggs in medium bowel.
4. Add gravy mix to eggs.
5. Pour into pie crust. Sprinkle on cheese and seasoning salt. Put into oven.
6. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
7. Reduce temperature to 325 and bake about 35 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean.

I haven't eaten supper that sounds so good

This sounds really good I love SOS so I will make my own gravy and do this. I love seasoning salt on everything just about. I wonder if peas would be good in this too I put canned peas in my SOS sometimes. Asparagus or spinach hmmm.

Thanks for the recipe.

I was so trying to come up w a new quiche rec. my hubby loves my quiche. A lot better w homemade crust. I was for sure if the gravy would make my quiche runny or not and I found ur rec. thanks :) just what I was looking for!!
