She lives in town by a road,so the birds fly up and then drop back down to eat. It looks like it's raining birds! There once was this fat old sparrow who would just sit on the ground and watch all the other birds fly up and down. He look edlike he wanted to say. "Why are you all wasting your energy like that? Oh well, more food for me!"

When it snowed this February there were TONS of birds swarming the feeders. The house sparrows chose to stay out of all the comotion, so they ate on the ground at the chicken feeder.

Thanks! It's a small town. I like to watch the yellow finches the most. And a good flicker or chickadee is fun too. Sparrows of course, are comical!
Do you have yellow-bellied sapsuckers around?
I really like the (forgot watch you call them). They scratch around in the leaves like chickens!

Grackles? They look a lot like crows and the males puff up and rasp, kinda like their version of crowing!

Three times we saw some at our house. (We live on a farm,so we call it 'The Farm'. Kinda obvious!) My aunt (a different one.) identified them.
