This thread definitely seems to be going off track, but in case anyone is interested in a bit of education about house sparrows:

House sparrows are an invasive species brought over from Europe. They frequently out compete native birds for resources and can be a real issue.

I believe all animals deserve compassion, but I also believe that compassion extends to protecting native environment from non-native species.

Individually, I think sparrows are nice birds. As a non-native population, I am not such a fan.
