Hopefully the meds will kick in soon. Bless their heart no way you can keep them together where he can still be kept upright, Sometimes having their buddy with them really helps.I'm really not sure...he doesn't seem to be any worse which is great, but I don't see any notable improvement either.
We had to separate them last night and put him in a small cat carrier so he wouldn't flip himself over. That was an ordeal, the healthy one spent about an hour quacking as loud as he could until he settled in. Another long night.
I'm using "he" as a general, I think after hearing that voice last night our healthy duck is a female.
The crested just got another dose of Rimadyl, and he's still eating and drinking well. I hope we see any improvement soon.
