Saved some ducks, have a few questions.

I'm really not sure...he doesn't seem to be any worse which is great, but I don't see any notable improvement either.

We had to separate them last night and put him in a small cat carrier so he wouldn't flip himself over. That was an ordeal, the healthy one spent about an hour quacking as loud as he could until he settled in. Another long night.

I'm using "he" as a general, I think after hearing that voice last night our healthy duck is a female.

The crested just got another dose of Rimadyl, and he's still eating and drinking well. I hope we see any improvement soon.
Hopefully the meds will kick in soon. Bless their heart no way you can keep them together where he can still be kept upright, Sometimes having their buddy with them really helps.

We have the carrier with the sick guy with it's door facing the door of the large kennel ( we're using the dog kennel our mastiff mix uses as their pen, it's a huge kennel, he's a 130lb dog). So they are huddled together near the doors and each other. And we've been having them together as much as possible, it's obvious being separated stresses them out, but he'll be moved next to my bed again tonight. Hopefully it's not as traumatizing tonight. Everything else we tried, the healthy one steps on him, knocks him over, etc. I'm waking up every couple of hours to give food and water because he can't have it with him, he knocks it over, falls in it, and soaks himself and all his bedding. It's like having a newborn again lol

Bless you for having the patience to care for him. Sure hope it pays off for you and you see improvement soon.

Just gave before bed vitamins, and a good eating and drinking session.

There's improvement.

He still falls over, and he still can't move without help with balance, but he was turning his head and straightening his neck on his own while eating/drinking, something he hasn't done since the morning he relapsed.

Remaining hopeful he continues to improve.

Good news!! Hope to hear even more today.

Made it through another night. Nothing noticeably different from yesterday physically, he is much more vocal today though. I'll take that as a sign he's feeling better. He's usually a bit stiff in the morning, and seemed to be even before this relapse, so I think evening is the best time to gauge how he's doing.

I haven't done any sort of extra heating. He seems to be keeping his body temp up well on his own, and we have him "tucked in" with a blanket to help keep him from flipping. I had to change it to a lighter sheet because at one point he started panting. So he's plenty warm. :)
