Saved some ducks, have a few questions.

Do you plan on taking him to the vet? I'm thinking the only way your going to get pred. is to take him or ask around if anyone you know may have some. Did you read about Qwackers? I gave you the link she put him on pred along with other things and he finally came through. Hopefully your lil one will too.

Yeah, I've read how much the prednisone helped, that's why I want to do it. The vitamins helped a lot, but I don't understand the regression today :-(

I'm starting to worry it was just too long without care, and he's just going to be a special needs duck for the rest of his life. I don't feel right euthanizing him, not yet.

I wouldn't as long as he is eating and seems to be enjoying life.
Set backs happen there were time we didn't think Qwackers was going to make it either.

Up at 5am giving neck massages...woke up to him screaming because he fell over and couldn't get off his back. Doesn't seem to be improving from yesterday. Driving him down to the vet today, couldn't find any friends with pred. I'm holding his head and neck straight, half asleep, imagining ways I can make a neck brace for a duck...

From what I've read they can have it, and it helps several issues, lots of success stories with its use. Some vets will give different anti inflamitories that are more commonly used in birds though. Pred. seems to just be more readily available.
