Saved some ducks, have a few questions.

The vet has him on Rimadyl, and I'm suppose to take him back in a week if there's no improvement. He's worried about some sort of poisoning that may have caused neurological issues. He was concerned mostly by the extremeness of his relapse after I showed him pictures of the duck standing, eating and drinking, with his head almost totally straight from just days ago.

Fingers crossed this guy gets better.

Poor you and the lil one, I'd keep up with the vitamins along with the Rimadyl is this an inflammatory drug?
Sure hope you see improvement quick.

Yes, he'll be on the vitamins also. Rimadyl is an NSAID (as was mentioned), the vet preferred to go with a non steroidal anti inflammatory because of the side effects that come with steroids.

I'm really not sure...he doesn't seem to be any worse which is great, but I don't see any notable improvement either.

We had to separate them last night and put him in a small cat carrier so he wouldn't flip himself over. That was an ordeal, the healthy one spent about an hour quacking as loud as he could until he settled in. Another long night.

I'm using "he" as a general, I think after hearing that voice last night our healthy duck is a female.

The crested just got another dose of Rimadyl, and he's still eating and drinking well. I hope we see any improvement soon.
