I am so sorry to hear of your losses. As @Miss Lydia suggested the "Where am I where are you" thread may be of help. Your cute little spotted hen is actually a Silver Appleyard, and not a Saxony. Gorgeous ducks.

I wondered about that spotted girl. I gotten them all together from the local 4-H breeders. Along with the Saxonies , they also bred Appleyards. She could be a mix too.

Metzer Farms offers sexed Saxony ducklings in case you're interested. That is where I got my hen from.

Based on her coloring, I think it very likely she is a Saxony/Appleyard mix. She's a beauty.

Helga is very sweet but her temperament is a bit more reserved than Hilda’s. She’s a solid layer and her eggs are a much whiter than Hilda’s.
I will check into with Metzer Farms too.

I haven’t got round to getting them, it’ll be next year now, I need to focus on breeding the ones I have. I’m sure yours are lovely though!
