Say it Isn't so...my speckled sussex rooster sounds like a cat and needs a new home :(

I have a 10 week SS that we've been suspicious of being a roo...and this morning we heard this almost cat growl. So at this point he's got to be a roo! Certainly doesn't 'act' like a roo and we are a bit sad as this is our only SS and didn't want a rooster :(.
Will that be his 'crow' or will it get better and actually sound like a rooster?
We will look to rehome him, so if anyone is in the Massachusetts area looking for a speckled sussex rooster, let me know!
Where in mass? I could probably take him

All cockerels sound pretty goofy, and almost sick, when they begin to crow. It takes practice, some times several weeks, to perfect their beautiful crow. Here is my last little one and his first try at crowing.

He’s a beautiful SS cockerel!
Wow, mine are 8 weeks and I still haven’t heard a peep out of them yet. I do have one bantam rooster that crows In the morning So maybe they don’t feel the need.
