Warning: graphic pics at end.

Our 5 week old Cockerel got pinned between a post and side of coop.
The bigger hens started eating his face off before we found him.
Has anyone had a chook bounce back from similar injuries?
Does the skin grow back?
Cleaned his wounds, hydrating with electrolytes. Drinking on his own.
If this little booger pulls through, he'll be one tough Roo.

I would give him a week or so than evaluate him again. I've seen stuff I swore wouldn't heal in poultry heal right up. That first week you don't generally see much improvements, but by the second week you should see something. Only you can tell if he suffering too much and needs culling. It may also end up with brain damage, but you never know.

Sounds like you are doing everything you can for him.
Drinking on his own is good.
Do you think his eye is still intact?
I don't think so. But with swelling and face pulled down I can't tell just yet.
He wants to be held and iss raking asprin water. He trills to me and cuddles close.
Vertricin VH on sterile guaze to cover wound until vet opens in AM.
