Our 5 week old Cockerel got pinned between a post and side of coop.
The bigger hens started eating his face off before we found him.
Has anyone had a chook bounce back from similar injuries?
Does the skin grow back?
Cleaned his wounds, hydrating with electrolytes. Drinking on his own.

I have had several hens get scalped by a rooster really bad . I took her away from the others kept the wound clean and put vetericyn gel on her or what ever you got on hand.she is great now you could not tell that it ever happened. you must wait to put her back with the others until she is completely healed or the will peck the wound back open then you will have to start all over. good luck

Wow what a remarkable story. I hope I never have a similar experience, but if I do I am in the right place for knowledge. You're a fabulous keeper and Connor is a lucky fella!!
