Scaly leg mites still not going away

Ivermectin has an egg withdrawal period of 7 days, so be sure to not eat her eggs for the next 7 days at least. Then when you reapply in 14 days you will have to toss her eggs for another 7 days after that.

I am treating a few of my hens for scaly leg mite too and it feels like it takes foreeeever... good luck with your chicken!

How are you treating your hens for it? Anything besides the ivermectin? Thanks!

My tractor supply has it! Thanks for the dosage information too. So I'll continue with Vaseline every few days and add in the ivermectin daily. You meant ivermectin, not amoxicillin towards the end of your post, correct? Or did you also mean I should get that too or instead of ivermectin?
No no no ivermectin is given once and then again in 10-14 days. It is NOT give daily.

I am reaffirming what @RoosterML just said. Do NOT give Ivermectin daily!

Nothing in my post on Ivermectin dosage says to give it every day. This is a powerful med! It can cause harm if you overdose it. Please go back and read all instructions on dosages carefully.

Not sure how I misread this, must have been distracted. I applied it today and Will wait 14 days to reapply. Thank you!
