This morning I found my hen with her eyes closed. Even when I touched her face she kept them shut. She's always been scared of me, so she tries to hide when I'm near, but she clearly doesn't feel like moving much. She's so skinny, empty crop, and won't eat the eggs I've offered. It's the time of year where the ground frosts over in night, maybe that has something to do with it.

How old is she? Do you know when she last laid? Is that ice cubes in with the egg?
Based on the dropping pictured I would say that something is going on, doesn't look normal. Do all her droppings look like that?
If she is ill, and thin, she may not be able to maintain body heat well, so I would only give her warmed fluids, not cold, no ice. I would crate her or confine her in a warm place until you have a better idea what is going on. Keeps her safer and makes it easier for you to monitor her. I would try to get fluids in her first, if you have some electrolites, gatorade, pedialite, give her that, slightly warmed, and alternate with plain fresh water.

I wanna ask about the ice cubes too? 🤔

Hey when all else fails for me- I bust out the can of cat food.

The eggs were still hit, that's why there's ice cubes. She's about 3 years, and apparently I scare her so bad that she decided to open her eyes and ran from me. I've brought her outside since then, she only eats with others, and is keeping her eyes open now. She still looks a little cold, but had a better- more solid green poop.

Green can sometimes be from not eating. Maybe she got very chilled for some reason. I would keep an eye on her.
Thank you. My Mama said she had feathers in her mouth yesterday, and she tried to eat a leaf after the eggs even though her eyes were open, so she'sdefinitelynot doing her best. Maybe it's molting. We'll watch her closely
