9+ States have now declared sovereignty, now add Washington to the list.

In case you didn't hear about it on the mainstream media (which you
haven't because they want to keep us asleep), numerous states are
currently declaring or have already declared sovereignty, including:

Washington

Possibly: Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Montana, Arkansas, Idaho,
Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, Illinois

It is interesting to note that Arizona explicitly speaks about
continuity of government and the role of servicemen.

.."if the President or any other federal entity attempts to institute
martial law or its equivalent without an official declaration in one
or more of the states without the consent of that state ...
individual members of the military return to their respective
states and report to the Governor until a new President is elected;..."

"The
Tenth Amendment was intended to confirm the understanding of
the people at the time the Constitution was adopted, that powers
not granted to the United States were reserved to the States or to
the people. It added nothing to the instrument as originally
ratified." -- United States v. Sprague, 282 U.S. 716, 733 (1931).

The American Form of Government DVD/Video - JBS Oldie but goody.

For those unaware, the GOP and the Democrats are playing good cop -
bad cop on the American people. The two political parties work direcly
for the international banking cartel currently working very hard to
destroy the dollar, bring about a collapse of the economy, then offering
a solution to the crisis to the American people by erasing our soveriegnty,
creating a regional (multi-country) currency and signing on to robust
international treaties which undermine and render the US Constitution dead.

They use terrorism and economic crisis to prompt the American people to
acquiesce to demands. By creating fear and a general sense of helplessness
the public curls up and takes it. Sometimes the truth comes out in humor,
the public laughs and continues to take it. Sometimes it comes out in public
but the corporate news media refuses to investigate the truth and the
media no longer serves the public interest.

The cure will be seen by the masses as a 'lesser of two evil' solution to
the crisis they themselves engineered. The Council on Foreign Relations,
the United Nations, the World Bank, Federal Reserve, Internal Revenue Service,
the Department of Homeland Security, the Conservative Underground,
NeoConservatives (NeoCons), the CIA and countless other think tanks, corporate
powers/laws, standing armies, etc are the enemies of liberty. They are
you guaranteed oppressors who enslave you by incremental alterations in
the fabric of law, society and culture.

Do not forget, security of the nation does not equal patriotism, rather
defending freedom and an individuals liberty is patriotism. The Redcoats
and many of the first colonists were loyal to King George. They were
known as Loyalists. Those that espoused liberty, taxation with
representation and the formation of a new Republic, the signers of the
Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution were not Loyalists,
they were known as Patriots..

And so it is today that we find ourselves at the same juncture, a
continuation of the revolution that began so long ago. Be you Loyal to
the Government or be you a defender of the Constitution, for they are
not synonymous. There is no left and right, there is no longer a
difference between the actions a Democrat and a Republican and
absolutely there is not such thing as a liberal or a conservative.

There are only Loyalists or Patriots. Choose.

Historic Summit Brings Together Ron Paul, Cynthia McKinney,
Chuck Balwin, Grover Norquist and More!

Transpartisan Cabinet announcement, February 12, 7pm MST

http://republicmedia.tv/index.php?op...583&Item id=1

On the evening of Lincoln's Bicentennial at 7pm MST at the Denver
Sheraton we will announce the formation of an interim, national
Transpartisan Cabinet to serve as the interim voice of this emerging
movement of movements. Confirmed members thus far -- in person or
by video teleconference -- include monetary reform leader Ron Paul,
co-founder of MoveOn.org and President of Momsrising.org Joan Blades,
conservative activist Grover Norquist, co-founder of the Liberty
Coalition Michael Ostrolenk, human potential movement visionary Barbara
Marx Hubbard, humorist Steve Bhaerman, and director of the Committee
for a Unified Independent Party Jackie Salit. Pending invitations
include Ralph Nader, as well as former Green and Constitution Party
presidential nominees, Cynthia McKinney and Chuck Baldwin. At the
Summit participants will design a transparent, inclusive process for
choosing the final Cabinet to serve as the transpartisan voice.

Here is a video, a good video and the people mean well, but there is
one thing missing from this video and as a military man, it spooks the
heck out of me - see if you can guess what answer is missing.

Hint: Congressman Ron Paul would know.

Recommend distribution: Information old news to you? Then send it to
someone who needs to know. Who needs to know? Litmus test: Do they know
the first three words to the preamble of the Constitution? That would
be a good person.

Because we could all use a good lift of spirit:

I don't see what is supposed to be scary or where you mean nut jobs are at. From the things you posted they ( the individual states) have only been enacting the protectionist powers, not only allowed by, but laid out, in the constitution of the U.S. As far as some of the video links, you can look hard enough and find fringe extremists on any issue and from every angle to make whichever point you may be going for, look good or bad. But the main point is that state rights are held above federal politics and if there is a breakdown then it is plainly laid out for the protection of the states. The media can publish whatever they want and push any agenda that is wanted and more people every day will just follow along without doing any legwork themselves to get to the core of whatever the issue may be, and anyone who is not following the established playbook is then called a nut job.

I think it looks like a good idea.

From what I am reading, it is saying that if the Federal government tries to force a law that is unconstitutional according to our State laws that our State's law supercedes those laws.

For one example NAIS. The Federal plan is to make it mandatory in a few years.

Some of these groups are actually espousing secession..... I find that worrisome especially if they are using the economic crunch to foment it.

The crisis is a huge issue that we need address as a massive failure on the part of our governmental agencies. And I am also a fan of abolishing the fed as it exists now, but secession?? That's a different and worrying ball of wax.

Fringe groups can be dismissed, as long as you remember that it was a fringe group that brought down the world trade centers....

VT has been tossing that around for decades. As much as I hate the cold and snow. I will move to VT should it happen.

The one I found that has a viable plan for survival as an independent state is actually Texas. International port, international airport, militia that is required by law to return if the state secedes (As in if you join the Guard there you actually belong to the state.) Oil, manufacturing, and ready source of cheap labor... Their major downfall is the lack of food, but they do have the space to correct that if they desired to do so.

Alaska could manage on their own if their whole population was willing to return to more SS living.

Vermont could survive as an independent if they maintained good relations with their neighbors, but they could be embargoed into submission pretty easily.

Alaska would be fine, but Anchorage might not survive.

Texas has the food production, and is generally in the top 10 nationally in all catagories of food production. The big issue would be the water treaties along the Rio Grande and the allocations due the US and Mexico. The Texas constitution also reserves the right to break into multiple states. As a previously independent country it might also have the best legal stance for succession. Here is a site with the Texas agriculture stats, plenty of food.

http://www.nass.usda.gov/Statistics_by_State/Ag_Overview/AgOverview_TX.pdf

It is all interesting speculation, and would never really happen.

.

Huh, we've got food. Heck, there are Texans here who are paid not to grow food. Cow, chickens, goats, jackalopes, plus we have all kinds of crops.
