Scary what happened yesterday

Our pit is the funniest, goofiest, friendliest dog I've ever met. When we had a house chicken, they slept together on his pillow. The house cats love his body heat, so they share his pillow too. We used to have a duck outside who loved to share his cool shady spot, and they napped together daily. He's our flock guard dog, and I know that no coyote or skunk or anything will come in the yard to take a chicken when he's out there with them. I trust him 100% with my family. He's been raised right, and he knows who his pack leader is. My husband trained him using Adam Katz's methods, and I have recommended them to everyone who's trying to train any dog. This dog is a blessing to my family, and is truly a part of the family.

The only thing I'm afraid of is his tail. Man that thing can WAG!

That's SO true. I worked for a vet for a few years and my worst scar came from a Yorkie.

We just adopted a young Shepherd/Akita/Chow mix from the shelter and she's just the sweetest dog. She's very loving, calm and eager to please.

That just made my day...especially the part about wearing women's underwear because I suddenly pictured you attempting to put women's underwear on a dog. That's a sight to behold, I'm sure.

True story- my daughter dressed the german shephard in her brother's clothes. I'm not sure who is more insulted, the dog or the brother.

I am sure most of you remember December 08's Mac attack on our neighbors Christmas decorations. Big goofy white pit dug a hole under the fence, went in through the doggy door and proceeded to remove every last Christmas item and bring it back to our yard. Food, decorations, gifts, pillows, stocking, nut trays, boxes of cookies, santas, elves, reindeer, snowmen. ALL of it. Neighbor wasn't happy at all. She couldn't really get mad at US though since her dog helped. It was obvious when they came home and found both of them covered in mud asleep together on the leather sofa.

And I still think this is one of the funniest dang dog stories ever! It's like Mac was doing his Christmas shopping! "Ooooo... I'd like one of these, and one of these, and Dad would like one of these, and maybe some chocolates for Mom..." I can just pictures the doggie joyousnous at his great find.

The pits are always my favorites at the dog park. They are happy, sociable, friendly dogs. Just big goofy dogs. They were THE most tolerant of my eldest when she was just a puppy. Loved 'em!
