Scavenger Hunt Chit-Chat

Thanks for sharing! They are all fabulous! I especially like the blue wheaten OEGB!
And that frizzle cochin, her feathers are not frayed at all... that's gorgeous.
I don't think I've ever seen a blue light brahma, very interesting. And the chubby cheeks on that call drake! OmG!!
The blue Sumatra is striking, fabulous lacing.

And a frizzled SF?? Wow!

I love seeing all the color varieties that we don't see very often.

:bow

I had never heard of the Blue Light Brahma, either, but she was so gorgeous! :love And I still can't get over the Faverolles and his frizzley beard! I also have always been a fan of Silver Appleyards (but they're too big, imo), so that Appleyard Call hen was really striking to me! :love :love I wish she would have pulled her bill out of her feathers so that I could see her face better, though. :tongue

Plug: post those in thw thread in my signature ;)

Even the ones that aren't full body shots? And I don't really have ages because I was focused on the birds and didn't really look at their tags beyond their breed and variety...

Yeah, that's okay :) I need so many pictures and they aren't all gonna fit the status quo. I just need something that can at least mildly represent the breed and variety. :D

I added a few lav orps. I wasn’t positive on age either, but my guesses should be close. I could check my records for more accuracy, but I didn’t.

Whats a dorking?
Sounds goofy.

@someusername The Dorking is a rare and ancient breed of chicken known for its meat quality and distinguished from similarly patterned breeds by its fifth toe. More importantly, they are big, fat, sweet, docile birds that not enough people appreciate. Hands down, it's my favorite chicken breed. :love I have single comb Silver Grays and Reds, plus a project variety called Dark Gray. Here's this year's two Silver Gray pullets being goofy, as you say. ;)

I could go on all day, so I'll stop myself here. Here's some good reading about the breed:
