That might reduce the number of 'does this count' type of posts, too.
Must be purebred? As long as it's made clear that there should be no repeats of the same breed AND variety (ex. no chains of Barred Rocks--either breed OR variety has to change in every post). Rereading my post, it occurred to me that a lot of people don't realize there's more than one variety of Australorp, so that should probably be clarified.
Anything else important a far as rules for the new game?
Yes. It can only be posted if the parent breeds are posted.Very true. That's not always a given.
That raises a question in my mind about mixed breeds, though. Should they be banned? Should the next post match one of the parent breeds (if known) or the closest standardized variety?
I was, and then I realized you are a PFM. You should make it so that you can edit the first post.Okay, so the rules (including some from the scavenger hunt because they're good for this, too) are:
- First post will have a picture and have the breed and variety listed with it. The following post must be of a bird that matches EITHER the breed OR the variety, but not both. (So, no posting a Barred Rock in response to a Barred Rock, etc.).
- Every post MUST list what the breed and variety of the bird in the picture is in order to help the next poster know what they can post next.
- For the sake of simplicity, mixed breeds are not allowed (unless the parent breeds are known?)
- If there are multiple responses to the same post, the first one whose post went through 'wins' and subsequent posts should match the breed or variety from that post.
- If there are no responses to a picture in 2 hours, anyone can post any bird to restart the game, regardless of breed or variety.
- NO PULLING PICTURES FROM THE INTERNET--THEY MUST BE PICTURES YOU TOOK.
Sound about right?
@Cyprus Are you planning on making the thread still?
