Sadly I am one of those people who has NEVER had a sense of smell.

Even as a child and now as an adult in my 50's - nothing. My ability to taste is minimal too.
Doctors say a small percentage of folks are born that way and make up for it by having a greater ability with another sense.
I believe thats true because I have ears like a bat...I'd rather smell {.
