scientists crack the chicken or the egg riddle

I think that chickens came first, then mating, then eggs were laid and then a mean ole broody hen hatched 'em out.

Aw, totally beaten to it. Was just about to post a link to this.

Still, can't help but wonder where that first chicken came from then.... Maybe a goat?

It's what happens when midgit dinosaurs find other midgit dinosaurs and make dinosaur love.

nawwww

First came 2000. for the coop and run
then came 150 for a brooder
then came a couple hundred for the bits and bobs these freeloaders need
then came the cosly heitage chicks! ....

Oh then came bags and bags of feed
Lets not forget the treats of encouragement...

then an egg... 22 weeks one day later.... two eggs out of...ummm 10 chickens!

That doesent take a hugely expensive study.... interesting though it is. Now excuse me while I go bribe.... errrr, give my girls and boys some treats!

I don't call it feeding either, I call it bribing too, or when I give them treats "kissing butt". I SWARE if I' 30 min late feeding them, they pruposly lay half the normal amount of eggs on purpose.

I know MY birds came LOOOOOOONG before any eggs, LOL
