Scissor Beak UPDATE!!

Sorry that yours didn't make it. I am trying to attach a couple pics of my BR Roo with the crossbeak. Luckily, he does quite well with the deep dish, a mash and not being around other aggressive roos.

Thank you for the pictures. I was very happy to see them. Your Roo really seems to be very happy. Did your roos ete fall out because of the deformity. It really looked like forest's eye was impossible close to the the jaw.
Does your roo eat constantly or do other chicken things?

If Forest had not started to be listless and weak I would have continued as before but it was to sad to watch further.

I am sad but I would do it again if I came across another.

Good for you for trying! Sometimes they just don't make it. My rooster, Ziggy, eats just like the others from his deep bowl. He can't pick up bugs or snip off grass, but seems happy. All of mine love Raisin Time and he and I have figured out how to feed him his...I hold him, he tilts his head and I slip a raisin in the corner of his beak. He was born without an eye and I think this is difficult for him because of the way their eyes are set. Kind of like horses....they don't see well in front of them, but see to the side. As a result, he sometimes runs into things. He is a doll though, big and handsome boy.
