We just got 15 Reds and Red/Buff mix that are approximately 6 weeks old. At what age do you introduce Scratch to the chicks feed and how much? Also when can we start giving fruit and vegetable peelings, etc.?

So scratch is ok to give as a treat at 6 weeks old? They (15 females) are in an outside area that is 30x30 with lots of grass and dirt.

If they have lots of grass and dirt, I would hold off on the scratch. I would wait until about 12 weeks old to give scratch, but that is just me.

I don't give Scratch Grains till 10 weeks old.
1 Tbsp each pullet daily.

Also when can we start giving fruit and vegetable peelings, etc.?

I also wait till 10 weeks old before giving any fruit, fruit peelings or veggie scraps.

They'll need Grit to digest peelings, fruit, veggies or Scratch.

There is a sand box inside the chicken coop. Is it ok for the chicks to peck around in it?

Should be fine, just make sure they're not eating an excessive amount of sand.
