Scruffy looking new roo. Pot, mange, molting?

So, when you give a chicken a bath (I've read you can?) do they bathe themselves, or you actually do it?
Can soap be involved?
Any suggestions?
These birds are dirty.

I got him and his 2 hens last night. Yeah, i think maybe the dominant hen pecks him and the other hen. And he pecks the subordinate hen. I'm not sure if that's the main cause. I don't know what living conditions they've had, or how many other chickens (or roos) they lived with.

This was his first day with us. He crowed almost all day. But no physical agression towards me
