Today is'nt a good day I started it off with a severe headache then it got worse but feeling mucho bettero now though thanks to good drugs thought I was blowing a gasket all day yesterday in one spot in my brain cell, hurt like HEdoubLLe toothpick sticks. Allergies and sinuses is all, you'd think after 43 years of it one would be able to cope better with them. I hate it when the weather changes/or right before as I always refer to myself as a walking barometer.

Lilith, remember on the show (ETA:Cheers), Frasier, his wife, well she had that name for a reason' as she always had a frightful, drat appearance and actually scared the bee-jeebers outta him most of the time.

Google "Lilith" she goes around stealing children as they drift off into dreamland

Jeff, I had a nagging headache all day then it turned a bit ugly. Took some stronger meds and it's finally easing off. Hope you feel better. I can't deal with headaches!

Beth, I'm not sure what will happen. I just hope it hatches at all. It was the only one fertile of several I had in the bator at the time. Unfortunately, it is Georgie's. That means it may be a dwarf or have hock issues (about 25% of hers do). I'm hoping it's one of the 75% that comes out normal. If we have to put it down because it cannot walk, not sure what Nugget will do. If it's a dwarf, it won't live as long as Nugget usually keeps her babies with her, which can be up to mating age. Just pray it's one of her okay babies and Nugget will have a baby to raise to make her happy.

YAY! I'm home from work. I am off tomorrow. I will get pictures of the newest New Hamps. I am excited to see how they all turn out.

I was thinking about starting a thread devoted to the Delaware project. All along I have been thinking I should just plug along and see how things turn out first. I dunno......

on the delly project thread. Guess I better'd get on the stick with those pictures huh?

On the Silver Columbian ? you just watch those lil' girls your keeping feather out, then you'll see what silver columbian is,
lol.png
They will be colored just like a Columbian rock, Lt. Sussex, Lt. Brahama,ect.....

I'm sure the reason the experts are adding the "silver" to the columbian is to distinguish them from red columbian(NH, RIR, black-tailed red) as the columbian pattern generally means having a solid body color/ black in the extreme areas (tail, wing flight feathers and hackels). The columbian gene pushes (dillutes) all black to/in an outward direction.

Ya know, Jeff...... I was looking at the one female from the first F2 hatch..... and she IS mostly white. Very little "Delaware type" markings noted on her. I think she must be the ONE ! One I say, because the other female has green legs and will be a cull. I looked at the chicks from hatch #2 and #3 tonight, and I think I see 3 or 4 more girls in there.

My F-2 barred rock chicks from my hatch are gone. I have left 5 yellow, 1 buff and 4 black. I kept the blacks just to see what they turn out to be. The remaining chicks are really nice. They have a nice round body on them and a sweet personality. Sure can tell they are from a good line of parents.

Kathy will be looking forward to seeing your new New Hamps.

Good Morning SDWD. Busy day ahead (so what's new right?) But thought I would pop in and say HELLO before I get outside. Updates first....

The Diva Do is over her tantrums, the nag & foal are gone so life in the world of the Diva are good once again. That is until I mention the word "Bath" to her. I have already explained that she is getting a good scrub down and massage before the weather turns cold for the year's end, she so hates baths, they make her pout like a 1000 lb baby.

Russian Orloff eggs incubating....14 went in the bator with 2 scalloped air cells/yolks, 3 suspected ruptured/damaged air cells and so far 3 have been tossed as clear/non-developing, 4 are questionable, 3 look as if they are developing slower and 4 seem to be bouncing babies. Lockdown is a couple days away yet so we will see.

Today's agenda is working on the front porch colums which I sanded yesterday along with the garage door, fill holes will wood filler, re-sand, paint and then get pictures of the fresh paint job and call the appraiser to re-inspect. That will take care of the peeling paint issue for VA. *sigh*. Everything has gone to underwriting so we will see what they come back with and hopefully there is not much else to do to make VA and bank happy.

So, time to get a move on as I only paid 20 minutes of homage to the Diva Do this morning and she must have an hour to avoid pouting so I am off to grab her brush and finish my hour. Hahahaha. BBL
