Eh the white bird is doing fine...suspicious of me and not wanting to even pose for a picture. LOL. I admit to being to being far too busy with Suede, Zane, my new babies, Rusty the 1 lb menace, cuddlizing Rufus and trying to get Rex to attack me to mess with the white bird very long. Oh and stuffing my face with awesome BBQ and chicken parmesan. Food does have it's place on my priority list which is near the top of course. Poor Cyn turns around for a split second and I have her D'Anver Rufus outside of his pen (which he has never done) and walking him all over the yard showing him new stuff and then putting him down in her garden to free range (I did promise to catch him if he tried to make a break for it) but he just strolled over to me to be picked up when he was ready to go back. I also fed him buttermilk pancake because he was so good all weekend. I assured Rufus that enjoying cuddles and treats would in no way take away from his manliness and head honcho position in the bantam coop.

I will download the pics I took tomorrow, including pics of Ike Ms. Kathy. I am going for a hot soak and bed. Nite nite all

I should also add it is danged hard to take good pics in the bantam coop when you have Rusty flogging you (whom you are batting away like an annoying fly), Penny sitting on your knee sticking her face in the camera, Aimee flying up to sit on your head and/or shoulder trying to peck the camera and Rufus shoving his chest against you to get chest rubs and picked up. The other coops are much easier to navigate. Hahahahahahahahaha

Oh my you guys were busy that past few days! LH - glad you had such a good time and congrats on the new babies! I loved hearing of your tales with the lil D'anvers - arent they the neatest lil birds? Cyn describes the roo's as ten foot tall and bullet proof - LOL

Not much going on with me - have been setting the traps for coons - and if nothing is caught i take them down so the birds can free range. Well apparently i forgot to undo one. Guess what i caught? A young Cochin and my pigeon-chicken HOMEY. I dont know if i have mentioned him/her before. Was at an auction and well some swarthy looking people had apparently jsut bought some pigeons. Well as they were walking by my friend and i they just tossed one on the ground and looked back and laughed. Well of course we pic it up. Like what do we do know. Well Homey made it to my place and has become a chicken. He- she has a cage that i put up on the wall in the coop where it sleeps at night but during the day? It walks on the ground and thinks its a chicklen. Flies a little bit but not really - prefers being with its chickens. It is so calm and i can pic it up at any given time. Well when i opened the trap - the cochin is FREAKING out but Homey? Just saunters out like - Whats up? good food in there ...LOL Silly bird!

I think we'll have to attempt crop surgery on Smoky. Hope she isn't too far gone to make it like Kate and Nelda were, but I don't know. Since her crop is always pendulous anyway, no idea how long it's been this way. Geez. May lose her.

I will be praying for Smoky Cyn, that is Thor and Zena's mama so she just has to pull through. If you lose her Cyn

get a couple tail feathers and I will put them with Thor's sickle on the beadwork so you have a small piece of Smoky with you always too but let's hope that is not necessary. At least she got some pancake spoiling before this had to be done. Come on Smoky
