She is really tough, for sure. Wish she'd poop more than water, but then again, when she hasn't really had any nutrition getting through in a week, her body may be using most of what goes in. If it is, not sure how much actual waste we can reasonably expect to pass through her.

Yay Smoky that is Thor's mama, tough woman! Woot! Isaac is a good boy, he will accept food by hand for sure, he loves muffins. Did Beth share some with Zane *looking at her with that LOOK* Suede of course if never a problem much like the Diva Do, homage is expected, as it should be..

Now Kathy let us think about this.....big white bird, fast or not, still white no camoflauge, just big ole' moving target to chase. Then we have the blue tank....moves pretty darn fast for a big guy, has the muscle to back up the fight, needs only to camoflauge himself and hide his women where he is then positioned to kick predator butt. Meanwhile, white bird is running around drawing attention of predator giving blue tank perfect attack opportunity. Will blue tank step in before white bird is hit....hmm let us think. White bird torments blue tank through the fence every chance he gets, white birds has a very annoying crow, white bird has two former blue tank ladies that he now claims as his ummmmmm No blue tank does not help white bird, he snickers.

Moral of this story: Be careful who you teaste and torment and steal women from because you may depend on them one day only to find yourself bait. Oh and SUEDE IS PERFECT!

Oh for fun news, Cyn got to hear this because I called her so she could hear it. Zena honks like a goose when she is upset.

. She is right at home here with the paralyzed chicken, the grumpy sumo kung fu chicken and the silly 1 lb boy who thinks to take on the 13 lb boy and lest we forget the Diva Do. Hahahahaha. My chaos, I love it.

Oh, I think Beth is going to want bantams soon. She was properly smitten with Rufus and the tiny crew. Rufus getting cuddles today.

Beth, did the pics of Nugget and her Dellie baby come out okay? I was looking at that one today and you could be right about it being a cockerel. It's still too early to tell, of course, but the comb is easy to see-looks like it's going to be a nice 5 pointer. In a couple more weeks, we'll know, I think. Gotta love broodies and babies.

I should have taken you inside the bantam coop, darn it! Somehow, we didn't get there.


Smoky still has periods where her heart beats too fast. Could be she has a chill or she has a wave of pain or something, but she is sitting and getting up, walking from food to water and seems bright eyed. Since I couldn't use cat gut sutures, how long should we wait before removing the exterior sutures? The interior ones will just have to stay in, I guess. I need to buy some pre-threaded absorbable ones.
