Well, I'm glad all the ones that went to the show in Indy had a great time so happy to see everyone got there and back home safely. Mrs. Beth congrats again on the pullets winnings and Mrs. Kathy congrats on winning such a rare and beautiful strain of Orp. Look as if all enjoyed a good time and company and got to meet some of their acquaintances first handedly and face to face.

Mrs. Beth that is a beautiful Orp. boy there and I'd say that the color is Brown/Red should be the correct color pattern for him,

I'm doing my part in introducing them to down here in the deep southern states, well when I get established that is. Oh boy, more projects, I need more to do

Good Garden O Peas, as Tim would say! You people totally crack me up!

LH, I'm right there with ya sweetie. Denny and I have a special derogatory term for the kind of hunters you speak of. "Road Hunters"! And oh how I'd like to make each and every one of them a road kill!

If they can't drive right up to the animal, either with their ridiculously overblown trucks, or their equally asinine quads, then they and their enormous beer guts just can't be bothered with it all!
not-tagged-smiley-10238.gif
Oh boy! I'd better kick that soap box of mine back under the porch, huh? Lord knows, if you get me started on those kinds of hunters, we'll be here all day and all night!

Hey Kathy, how about putting some names to those great pictures. I'm pretty sure I know who a few of those fine folks are, but there's a couple three that I'm not entirely sure on.

Brandon, your boy, Big Red is looking absolutely stunning! What is he again? You know how my memory is dear. Here one moment, up and gone like a fart in the wind in the next!

Guess who gave his first full hearted effort at crowing this afternoon? And guess who intimidated the daylights out of him so that it came out as only half of a crow, ending on a strangled sound!?!?
gig.gif
That big silly thunder butt boy of mine, Milio, is FINALLY starting to crow!! Sheesh! He's only 27 and a half weeks old now!! Talk about a late bloomer! He still thinks girls are kinda icky too!
lol.png
Anyhow, he barely got to the half way point in a rather nice sounding crow this afternoon, when Chief decided one loud mouthed boy in HIS flock [i.e. Goobey] was enough! Thank you VERY much!!

Poor Chief! The crap he's gotta put up with!! And he does so without any blood shed to the younger boys! I so love that big brute!

Hey Cyn! How did your appointment go today? Hope everything went well and that all tests come back with good news!

Laura? Any more hints of snow? They're saying we might have some during the overnight hours between Tuesday and Wednesday. Hang on to your britches girl, and break out the snow shoes! I think before this is all done and over with, you and I are gonna each need a pair!

Jeff

I am at work..... just checking in for a minute....

SO happy to see Billy and Cate today! I hope you will enjoy the birds. I replaced the ones the hawk took, and added a couple more. OH, and I was just now thinking.... I believe the one "Nella's cockerel," (F2 silver barred?) is in there, too!

Anyway, glad to be home and hope to get caught up on sleep and posts soon.

Ah Brandon O. Contrary read back I congratulated her first because you were getting beauty sleep while I was night prowling for alerts. Muahahahahahaha. But my incubator will hold enough for both of us.
lol.png

Beth congrats again on the win that is awesome.

Kathy may work go quickly so you can get some sleep then catch up. Glad you had an awesome time and got to meet Nella and Beth, aren't they awesome. Jack is a great guy too.

LH, you do not know how tempted we were to call and see if we could drop in on the way home, but Jack needed to skedaddle. *sigh* Turns out he had agreed to be on night call STARTING SUNDAY NIGHT and forgot to tell me. Husbands. Egad. He thought he did, but he didn't.

Brandon, hope more little cuties pop out- that roo of yours is verra, verra handsome.

Kathy, hope you catch up on sleep. I am STILL half a zombie, and Jeff, thanks, yes, it probably is what you called it- see, I can't even remember for two seconds!

Amy, don't you love when they start crowing?

And may I state here, officially, for the world to read, that Kathy is one of the most generous, gracious, and most kind person that I have ever met. She really has been the goddess of plenty for those of us who want quality birds. I personally cannot thank her enough for my NH and JG and project birds. What she is gonna get in the mail is just a teeny, tiny thanks compared to what I am feeling.

And her daughter Brittney cheerfully manned the club table for most of the time so that the rest of us could go running around looking at everything and talking to people. A pair of jewels, they are, they are!

Ah the family and Diva are always ready to have a visit from you and Jack...anytime no call needed except to say you are coming - we operate this joint 24/7/365 days. By the way, best bring carrots or you will never leave the barn unscathed...it is sort of an unwritten law around these parts. *snicker*

I agree Kathy is wonderful, wish I could have met her daughter. Did Kathy find her the perfect chicken loving husband?
