We are NOT discussing gravy or mice dagnabit and that is that. I have declared war over both! First, ****** house mouse and friends...opened cupboard and there is 1.5" mouse looking at me. Long story short....I almost killed the cat who looked at it, looked at me and I swear she said "You gonna get that?" The Goober dog did a better job trying to catch it. Cheyenne beat the hell out of everything in the cupboard with a fly swatter as I squealed and backed away, she caught mouse in jar, and drowned it. Now traps are set like landmines everywhere!

War 2: Gravy....a threat was issued by Speckledhen and JJ regarding d'anvers, chicks and them being "gravy"...that war is ongoing in another thread and I cannot disclose my plan other than to say it involves covert special ops with a d'uccle rooster resulting in hairy legged offspring

then the special ops training up as a very ELITE yet NASTY HORDE bred for one purpose ANNIHILATION!

For the first time in awhile, I have a headache that isn't sinus/weather related; at least, it doesn't feel like it, so I have those "foggy brain meds" in my system. Tom made supper and it was awesome actually being able to see biscuits baking with a light and a huge window. It has a preheat signal that tells when it's at the correct temp-love that! I didn't get to quilt any today due to the headache, stove delivery, coop cleanout and moving the BRs, Maretta and Gloria Jean into the main coop today.

Off to watch Survivor and Revenge, friends.

Oh , I have not had gravy over hash browns in like forever. I'd completely forgotten them until you bring this up. My gall bladder is kickin just me thinkin about em.

Kathy is such a mean woman at times. SOME of us are on special diets that do not include delicious comfort foods like that.

Good morning, all!

I'm kicking around the idea of painting my range hood with appliance paint rather than buying a new one. It works fine, just is the wrong color. So, what do you think? Anyone ever used spray appliance epoxy paint? And would you do glossy black or try the stainless look? Would the stainless look hokey or does it work well?

Of course, we'd have to remove the hood, degrease it well, etc. The exhaust pipe through the ceiling is exposed and would have to be painted in place, plus the backsplash is light almond colored, but not sure I could do anything about that--it isn't that visible anyway, but it goes all the way behind the range, behind the hood and up to the ceiling, a sheet of formica, I think it is.


Krylon comes in black, but Rustoleum has one in Stainless as well:

I would be curious on that too! As a matter of fact was just at lowes over the weekend getting some paint and was looking at the exact same thing for mine to paint. I am curious to see if anyone else has used it as well!
