Kathy that is a great picture....reminds me of the one I snapped of Thor and Athena in a dusting spot. He kept trying to get her to move over and she would not give an inch so he rammed her, slid his head and shoulders under her and flipped her out of the dust hole and slid right in to take his dust bath. The pic shows his big fluffy splash butt under Athena and her big fluffy blue butt in the air getting tossed out.


Karen...so as I sit here and take a rooster roll call of this place ahem:

Orps: Lancelot and Hector
OE: Maxwell
Silkies: Mr. Fluffy, Loki and unnamed son of Leo
Cochin: Luke (about a month old)
Brooder...good heavens at least 6 that I can identify at 2 weeks old our of 29 babies....I am sure there are more yet to reveal themselves.

So...that makes 13 that I know of....what was that about not being able to re home the boys?

I do believe I am picking up 5 or 6 more from Cynthia's this coming week.

I am going to have to build the duckies a new house anyway...I am taking over their 4' x 6' for either the Porcelains and Paints or as a brooder/ broody coop

Now that I am OFFICIALLY DONE WITH FLIPPING SCHOOL having just turned in the very last paper from HELLO to the witch, tomorrow is complete coop clean up of the 10' x 20', the small coop inside it, the 6' x 8', moving Maxwell and his two girls along with the Paints and Porcelains into the main coop (in the little coop inside it), the babies are going out to the 6' x 8'. Much to do before I leave here on Thursday to go to Cyn's and bring back more. hahahahaha

I am so gonna be divorced, she has 2 dozen eggs waiting for me to go in the bator for Brandon and I. hahahahahahaha

Well son of a biscuit and gravy eating monkey....I knew I would get attached to another rooster and likewise it attach itself to me. I am 99.8% positive at just 2 wks old that little penguin chick is a danged boy....take a lookie and tell me what you all think. *sigh*

I knew it! NO chick ever tries to get to me from the bator unless it is a BOY....thing could not hold its head up but it was flopping its way towards me and I knew then it was trouble. I think you need him don't you?

This weekend I let some of the chickens out to free range for the first time since the last fox attack. DH was home and outside, cutting wood, welding and making noise. Everyone stayed safe.
