Hey Tim! I wanna see some pictures of the actual unit you picked up! The advertisement has me frothing at the mouth bad enough as it is!
Awhile back, there was a gal over on the other side of the state that had a similar unit for sale. Hers dated to around the late 1890's to early 1900's. Believe it or not, she sold the darn thing for over $600! You can buy a whole boat load of LG's for that kind of money!
Just think of all the Del eggs you could hatch then!
Scott, LH, y'all are at the top of my prayer list too sweeties!
Scott, if this is where God wants you to be, you'll get that job. If not, please take comfort in knowing that He has something much better in mind for you and your family. Our task is to accept what comes with equanimity and grace.
Cetawin: You ain't goin' nowhere and you know it!
You is just where you is supposed to be already! I'm not worried about your situation, but I'm still putting you in my prayers....more so that you can relax than anything else. Take a deep breath girl. This too shall come to pass. Just keep your chin up and and don't take any hooey off of anyone! They may not have a full idea of who they're dealing with, but something tells me they're getting a good number of hints!
Oh, and Tim....just remember....a few weeks ago, you were crying for this rain! Be careful of what you wish for Brother...you just might get it!
OK, what the heck am I supposed to do about this??? Y'all remember my saying a couple of days ago that I now have FOUR Pump House Princesses? Yeah. Those old girls of mine!
Well, right now, at a little past 10:00 AM, Abigail, [Abby] my girl that was knocking on death's door about a month ago, is now trying to lay an egg.....on the card table in the pump house where she sleeps every night......
She's perfectly content at the moment to scratch and dig at her bath towel that I lay down for her every night. But if I get up and leave the pump house, she comes looking for me and cries piteously until she can convince me to return to the pump house. She then gets back up on her card table and resumes her scratching and shaping of the bath towel to her liking!
I have work to do!! I can't be sitting here holding her wing so to speak! I even tried to get her to take care of business in the coop, thinking, and judging by her futile attempts to make the towel conform to her idea of a good nest box, that the coop would be just where she would want to be. That was all fine and dandy while I was in there watching over her. I figured it was ok to go about my usual morning routine once I had her settled. Oh no!! Far from it. 10 minutes later, she's back out in the yard, crying and carrying on like some lost little puppy or something!
And all the while, she gets just a little more frantic to find or make just the right place to lay her egg! What's a chicken mama to do????
She's pretty content at the moment, but I'm sure the instant I get up to go outside and start working, she's going to be right behind me, crying the whole way!
