Tim, that is sooooo cool. I remember seeing my grandparents incubate in a kerosene incubator. I don't know, do people still use them? Like the Amish?

Cyn,
That quilt looks wonderful ! ! ! I love the colors!

I think I got a picture where you can see her head .... Brittney trimmed her hair, "so she could see her babies!"

Cyn, that quilt IS gorgeous....and doesnt it look just perfect in that yellow room! Looks like a picture out of a magazine.

And I love that bed...LOVE the headboard and footboard.

Thanks, that bed frame was one I bought just after we moved up here 8 years ago. I like it, too. Even if I sell this place furnished, I may have to take that with me. We recently painted the master bedroom and though I'm not a big yellow fan, this is more of a buttery gold and I love it. Cheers me up!

I so enjoyed meeting a good friend too.

she is a great person. It was a wonderful time for me as well. She was kind on her judging of my hens. My Dels tail was abit high. I got the EE from Georgia and she does not have the EE build but I love her lacing as well. She does lay a pretty egg. Her sister lays a pinkish brown long egg. So different looking but as chicks they were twins.
I did not have a camera either with us. I would love to have had pictures, esp at the falls, then completely forgot it when we went to get Cloud.

A senior moment.
Cyn I soooo wish you could have been with us too. I understand the tired part though. When i got home it caught up to me and I slept for an hour almost solid. But Oh it was so good.!!!!!! I can barely wait to get together again.

Now to by some bubble wrap and put over all the large wired window areas with stapples and edging. It worked really well last year and there was no comb damage or problems. It is up higher than the hens will roost so it stays intact. It will be in the 30's tonight. Love aya all Gloria Jean

We have a frost advisory from 1AM to 9AM tomorrow. Can you believe this weather ..... from weeks in the triple digits to frost .... Man, is there no in between anymore? Honestly, I think I am gonna have to get a heat lamp out for some of my younger chicks outside. Darn it. Winter is just sneaking up toooo quickly for me.
