OKAY OKAY OKAY, stop begging, I'll show you my broody coop

Here it is. I used it in May to hold three pullets- a GLW and two EE's. Now it's going to hold two pullets until the end of Spring, when I get my shed to renovate.

I guess that THEN it will be a broody coop. These pics were taken over the summer, I've now added a very hardy run. We bought it for $600... WAY over priced. Not very large, but I don't own a very large amount of chickens.

I know....I am so proud of him and so thankful he was not seriously hurt. Those little guys are tough and FAST...poor Severus could not get a hold on Spike becauswe he was all over his face in a fury. I had a hard time catching him myself, I actually caught him out of the air as he was going after Severus.

My little man was protecting his girl and I am very proud of him.

Here he is this morning...poor boy I will bathe him and clean off blood stop powder later after I get a good fire going to keep him warm...

Everyone NEEDS a roo like that, don't ya think? I just love protective roos. I also like the "keep the peace," roosters. I used to have Rupert (a cuckoo marans) who did not like conflict at all. He would see 2 young boys going at it, and he would walk in between them to break them up.

Go Spike, go! Is he your Alpha roo there, cetawin?

Hey everyone, I was wondering, is this the second thread for this? Or is it the first one... I mean, how did this thread get started in the first place? The first post confuses me.

Actually no...all of my roos are separated but Lancelot is the alpha here... Spike is just protective of his two girls.

He was so fired up he bit me several times when I grabbed him up and when I was trying to pinch his comb to stop the bleeding...he was maaaaad. Then he calmed down and started talking to me. I love my little boy and am so glad I found his little girl...if Cheyenne would not have found her, she would not have survived the night outside.

It says this .....
Thought I'd start a new thread for my friends who understand this acronym.....

It is a message for the people that know what it means.

Well I got that. But, like, how did people know what that means? What was sdwd BEFORE the thread started?
