Is it just me, or in that one picture of Spike, does he look almost like a miniature version of Thor?? Could just be me, could be just my monitor...but it struck me nonetheless.
No snow forecasted until Monday evening!
And no more fell last night after I went to bed at 9:30, at least as far as I can tell.
I'll always love the snow, but it's nice to finally get a break! Now we can make our way in to town today and pick up everything we need for the next two weeks. Including one granddaughter who hasn't been able to get back home from Spokane since Friday!
She's actually frothing at the mouth to get back home! Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder I guess.
Nella Girl, any time you run out of things to build at your place, you feel free to come on up here. I'll give you the perfect vent to let out all of that building energy!!
How are you with building kitchen cabinets? Have any drywall experience? Would you like to learn? We'll give you ample canvas to try your hand at all of that and more!
Just come up here and make yourself at home. I'll even COOK!!
Coyotes!! *shudder shudder* OMG! I hear y'all on coyotes. We have a local pack that probably numbers at least 30 or so. At least it sure sounds like that many when they get to howling down in the meadow at night. Thank heavens that we've fortified all of the coops and runs here long ago.
One night, two years ago, they paid the main coop a visit. Luckily they couldn't get in, but they sure tried. One of them must have cut his/her paw on the field fencing they tried to chew through, as I found numerous bloody paw prints all around the coop and on the glass of the storm door. Seeing that just chilled me to the bone! I never heard a peep that night from either the chickens or the coyotes. They can be very stealthy when they want to!
In response to finding the pack's foot prints so close to the coop, we put up field fencing all the way around it. It's not predator proof, but hopefully it will slow them down enough. The coop on the other hand is pretty much predator proof. Unless of course a coyote gets so desperate as to try to throw themselves through the glass on the storm door!
*shudder shudder* I hate coyotes!
OK, time to go get those crazy birds of mine going for the day. Then it's time for a shower for me and off to town!
A quick prayer for reasonably clear roads between here and Cheney would be greatly appreciated folks! Yack with y'all more this evening!
On a side note to Nick: Don't worry about what went before. Concentrate on the present and the future. Whatever went before is in the past and there it will stay.
