I can hear them ALL. Even in the rooster pen out back behind the garage. They are "quieter" since they are far away but I can hear the boys well......I use it to determine if something is wrong out back. They usually do not crow RELENTLESSLY unless something is wrong.
Or they are having a crowing competition.
The one under my window was a bantam. Little bast@rd. My big blue cochin sounds like tarzan. Aaaoaoaoaoaoaooaoaoaoooaaooaooa. My blue wheaten amer boy is a very loud and forceful crower. Sounds like he flings that crow out with a high power rifle. COCKADOODLE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Hi-yah!
Crazy roosters. I am considering rounding up all of my "extra roosters"....2 BIG silver laced boys, golden campine and 1 bantam cochin boy.....and throw them all into the rooster pen with the 4 evil boys. I figure that willl even the odds a bit. If I add 1 rooster, those 4 boys will kill it. Maybe if I add 4 roosters, including some big mean ones, they will just all agree to disagree.
