Aren't they funny? So exciting...all that flapping and jumping around. They are good little referees.......

Yesterday I was looking out the back window.......watching my splash Andalusian pullet fighting with one of my bantam cochin roosters.....she was really putting up a good fight and giving him a run for the money. Then he got a good hit in and she took off.....went running up the hill and out of sight. THEN, from the area where she went running, comes the head rooster, big blue the cochin roo (yes, it rhymes, don't judge me ha ha). He doesn't even need to run....just comes lumbering over. That little bantam cochin rooster just pretended that the grass was really interesting. Good call, little bantam rooster.....good call.

Severus does not want to play with Orp, Lancelot either...and he thought he wanted to mess with little Spike until he had his ass handed to him. Spike is in the house having his comb tended to and Severus got very little attention...I cleaned his face and neck wounds and tossed him back in the coop. He is lucky he did not hurt Spike because that would have meant crockpot time for Severus.

Amy, I never did try bananas. I guess I never buy them. Brittney does, but I never do. I have been sprinkling spices on their feed, cinnamon, cayenne, garlic cloves (mashed), etc .... using lots of fruits and nuts (walnuts and almonds), too.

Severus has a death wish......maybe I should bring LH a few extra roosters to replace him? If one rooster can't get that horde of ladies in line, maybe 10 or 11 can?

Just in case my top 5 roosters kick the crockpot, I have 16 backups. What can I say, I just like to be prepared.




On a slightly related note: I had a dream last night that I was sent to the looney bin. Hmmmmmm, wonder where that thought came from...........

If Cetawin needs more backups, I have grandsons of Ultrasuede and Isaac sitting here - Boo and Ivan the Terrible would LOVE to go live with her. They are very handsome boys for mutts- they are getting some interesting feathers in right now- I will try to get pics today. Boo is going to be bigger than Ultrasuede and I am going to have to separate them soon- I have caught him molesting Ultrasuede's women behind his back. AND his own foster mother. TSK! I am shocked, shocked, I say.

Morning all! Good grief, I leave for a week and I took me nearly an hour of "speed reading" to catch up. Hope everyone is well and had a wonderful holiday. I ate too much (as usual) and according to the scales packed on an extra 2 lbs.....too much dressing I suppose.

Cold, windy and miserable here today. Suppose to be a drizzly light rain all day today and tomorrow with high in the low 40s....was nearly 80 here last week, what gives??

Hunting trip was a big success and the whole family had a great time. Gotta find which camera has the pix on it (we only had 3 with us) so Amy will believe my "huntin' stories", but we did well

I was able to harvest a doe
FIL took a doe
Colby took a HUGE 8 point (2nd yr running)....guess he has a good guide

At any rate, a great time was had by all. Was thankful for my bed last night though, at about 9pm. I have about 250 emails to look thru (mostly junk I hope), then I'll find pix and post them
