Aaaah the bond between a daddy and a daughter, or granddaughter too for that matter!

No other bond is quite so strong, in my humble opinion anyhow! Congrats on the new addition Tim. Just think....in a few years, you can send Darcy out to feed the chickens, collect the eggs and teach the roosters about just which gender is actually in charge in those coops!!

Gloria Jean thank you...you need to take care of yourself. You heard Beth...now get to it.

I agree with Serrin...Tim Darcy needs to immediately get that hen house of yours whipped, screamed, bawled and love into shape!

Well, I did it again!

Here are the simple instructions on how to do it ....
When you KNOW you have a broody..... Take the eggs you want her to hatch and place them in a nice clean nest, in a nice clean area, all safe and secure. Move the broody off the nest in the layers coop, and into the nice new clean and safe area on the eggs ....

I have done it twice now! The only 2 times I DID want a broody to hatch for me ..... I broke them!

This is what I did with my Polly .... I moved her and left her one day. I realized she was not about to sit on those eggs. SO, I put her back in the Layers Coop. She proceeded to stay broody on the nest there for 2 days. I again removed her into MY location. This time I left her for 3 days. She never did sit on the eggs, and I finally let her go back to the Layers Coop again. Today, she was out and about, and does not appear to be broody!

Tomorrow I am setting Delaware eggs ...... in the incubator!

Woman you be nice to Polly...she is confused, it is her first time dang it.

*whispers on the winds* Your mama does not understand darling but I do...you want to come to Kentucky and live with a AC/heated coop yes you do pretty girl

Okay I am off to bed...

Glory Jean, didn't know you were sick hope you feel better soon.

Kathy don't set anything BUT Del eggs.

Going to the fair hope to see something other than silkies and RIR's. Can't understand why the uninitiated think chicks only come in yellow that's all they ever have at the fair. Will try to get some decent pics.

Thanks for the nice comments about GD. She is special that for sure, but then all my GC's are.

CYN how's the house situation going? Haven't forgot about it, still hoping things work out good.

Love ya all

Tim, if you're referring to selling it, no bites. A couple have inquired about it off my BYC page, but no real interest. It's not listed with anyone, not even a sign on the property right now. Need to get serious, I guess, but DH is sort of ambivalent right now about this moving thing.
