Boy, that is a tough call. Easter Eggers can have all sorts of genes, and come in absolutely tons of colors and shades of colors. I have no idea. You can probably tell if it's a girl, when she lays .... by the color of her egg, maybe. ???

Lol !! I figure by May they should be easier to sex, lol .

Wellllllllllllllllllllll, since you talked me into penning them, I suppose I could try to sex one by then. Do you know how hard that is???? Honestly, I can not sex a darn Ameraucana til they start crowing or laying. I am terrible at it! Well, thing is .... you really will want to have a male and a female, so you can mate them ya know. They will be black with the Lavender gene. Mate them and you will get 50% Lavenders and 50% blacks. You know that's what you wanna do!

Well my thought was to put one or two new girls in the Olive Egger project pen. I'm getting eggs from the 2 BCM girls daily now so just waiting to see. My EE girl is on strike. So it really is an EE and OE pen.

Well actually I think they're true Ameracaunas, but since their color isn't perfect the Ameracauna crew dubbed them EEs.

And The other two Ive hatched in different hatches look exactly the same shades of blue and red as the parents. THis one however is light almost Lavender like the Orp. So it's a possibility.

Oh yes, that would work out perfectly. Ya know, my EE took foreverrrrrrrrrrrrr to start laying. BUT, once they started, they have been great layers. Of course they quit during molt, but they are back at it now. I just love those girls.

Oh yes, the Ameraucana Police will do that.

Why can't they just call them "Non-standard Ameraucanas?" Hmmmm, makes sense to me! hahahaha

Ya know, I was thinkin' .... looks like the EE rooster is lighter. Maybe he gave Screamer the lighter coloring, too. ???? Hope it's a girl and she lays big beautiful eggs for ya, no matter what she is! Actually, she sorta looks like one of my EEs. I have the same coloring, one is darker and one is lighter.

Took her long time to start too, but she laid everyday untill it got really cold and now she's on strike, lol Anyway I am serious about the Oreo and Amercauna girls!! No Roos are coming to this place for a long time!!! I have more than enough!! Gotta figure out how many I really have. I have 3 Jersy Roos that need to find a home. Then out of the last two batches 'm not 100% sure whos who yet, lol

The pics of EEs I think they were a little sunbleached, but now theyre darker. It's really not a problem. I think that the three I hatched from them are all girls, but not really sure. I can't take real good pictures either, so who knows. I just know that Screamer is different in color and temperment. Maybe he/she is just a Rebel too, lol

I will see what I can do to help ya out there! My downsizing efforts went well, actually. All I have left to sell are:
2 RIR pullets
2 Jersey Giants cockerels
2 Blue Orpington cockerels (BELIEVE ME, these 2 boys are huge and GORGEOUS!)
2 Black-split-to-Lavender cockerels

Well, I should sell a couple Sussex boys, too. I have 4, and really only need one or two. Want a Coronation Sussex rooster??? Hmmmm, do ya, do ya, do ya????
