I mean that is a scary story - but i have to admit i chuckled a bit thinking of you sleeping sitting up with a shot gun teehee. I am so glad that nothing else happened . I have never had to worry - well yet about that - so far just fox and coyote - and the dastardly lil minks around here -
Amazes me to that she was able to get out basically jumping from a dead stand still -

Off today for Good Friday. Gotta try to get some yard work and "chicken chores" done today as we have relatives coming in for the weekend. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful Easter weekend

Knox, I do carry a shotgun because there is too much collateral damage...I prefer my M1 Carbine...small rifle, big bang and always a dead critter on the other end.

I will be the first person in history to have a Hunter/Jumper eventing horse that is an Arabian. Although, with the proper modivation, she would be great on the Steeplechase too. I am still amazed myself.

Oh sweetie! I LOVE the snow! In it's proper season! But the calendar says late April. That is NOT the proper time for snow!

Well, OK, maybe snow has historically always been around in April, in my neck of the woods....Heck! We've had snow as late as June 10 [just 2 years ago

] but to my mind, having been raised in an area where snow was unheard off after the end of March, this is just wrong!

I want to get the garden planted! We need spring weather to start in on the east and west porches of the house! My chickens need green things and bugs to eat!

We do NOT need more SNOW!

*sigh*

LH! OMG! I bet your adrenalin was pumping double time! And JoJo's too! I would have liked to see her jump over the gate to her stall. That had to have been an amazing feat of athleticism! Glad to hear that she and you are OK, other than some rattled nerves, and that all of the chicken kids are safe and secure! A Bobcat? Wow! I guess I just didn't realize that they range that far south east! Boy! Couldn't you do some beautiful things with its hide!!

That dog is named Precious and she is sweet as pie unless you mess with mama or she does not know you....then she is not so sweet. Thank heavens she adores mmy daughter and I and just wiggles her tailend when she sees us...I have seen the other side of her and it is not a pretty thing. hahahaha
