Trish I would love to see more pics of the hoop house...especially construction pics. Please pretty please. I want to build something similar and I really love yours.

Are you kidding me woman? I'm jealous! You have the fortitude to at least let them go to a new home. I'm so hopelessly in love with those three extra goofballs of mine that I can't bring myself to part with them. And THEY are the source of all of my housing woes and trepidations for winter right now. If it weren't for those three boys, I wouldn't need to be making a single modification to one square inch out there!

But I'm a sucker for a sweet boy with a pretty comb and awesome wattles!

I just can't help myself! Cetawin would understand!

And speaking of our dear LadyHawk, Cynthia, what news of Cetawin? Has she scared the living shinola out of HughsNet yet??

ETA: Well speak of the Devil!!!

You go get 'em girl!!! Make 'em wish they'd never been borne!

Am I the only one here who remembers a time when companies scheduled a repairman to come out ASAP, sometimes the very same day as the problem was brought to that company's attention? Whatever became of customer service?

LMAO well get this....I am astounded at that reasoning....follow along now

I say to Miss Customer Service dingbat....Why do you want me to pay you to come fix your equipment? She says "Because you are using it?"

So, I think hmmmm okay try this one little sista....and say to her "What am I paying 98.00 per month for?"

She says "for your High Speed Internet service, equipment leasing and in-house insurance"

I think Gotcha witch! So I say "Okay so I am paying for high speed internet which I have never received from you...I get barely better than dial-up, I am leasing your equipment through which I get this crappy slug speed internet service and pay for in-house insurance and you still say I must pay you to fix your equipment that I do not own, did not install and cannot repair?"

She says "Yes"

I said "Do you own your home?" She say "NO" I say "Ah so you rent or lease?" She says "yes" so I say "And when something goes wrong with your home, like a plumbing leak, who must pay for it to be repaired?" She says "My landlord" I said "Great now get your arse out here and fix your equipment that I am renting!"

I get --- Doh well that is how we do this and it is in your contract....I said "Turn the service off" she aid "What?" I said "Cancel the service NOW" Then suddenly I had the fee waived...

I lit her butt up again for being a thief....saying I found it funny that the contract was not sturdy enough for her to press her position but instead to cave....I got a $98 credit.

I HATE HUGHESNET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called in the problem on Thurday afternoon...they were to call me Friday morning...friday afternoon they tell me they will call me Saturday and Saturday they tell me it will be before the 9th.

They have no customer service....check youtube.com sometime and search for hughesnet ....that will enlighten you...And that is my only option for anything other than dial up here. grrrrr

Hey guys, while I'm thinking about it, hope y'all can help me out with a couple of mystery chickens and identification of their breeds? Any chance of getting y'all to wrack your brains for me? Aw shucks! Y'all are such sweet friends! I knew I could count on ya!

These were sent to me by an acquaintance from another board, and she was hoping I could identify them for her. I told her they were a mystery to me, but that I knew some great folks over here at BYC that were likely to be able to answer the call.

This first picture is of a rooster/hen pairing at her local fair, someplace in NYS last weekend. I don't think it's the same one you went to Tim, but I could be mistaken there too.

See what y'all think. Sorry for the quality. Obviously I didn't take them....otherwise they'd probably be even worse!

I could swear this next one is either a Silkie, or a Silkie cross. Something just doesn't look right. But if it's a cross, how could it get into a show? I thought that sex links were the only cross breeds that poultry shows would allow.
hu.gif
Again, color me confused. I know nothing about this whole showing business.

And last but not least, this is a beautiful little mama that my acquaintance saw at the Scottish Games just this weekend past. Pretty girl, but I haven't a clue. Not even sure if she's purebred or a cross of some kind.

My first thought on the first picture was one of the Japanese breeds, but I really have no clue. I don't know enough about those exotic breeds to tell much more than the front end from the back end, and sometimes that can be pretty hard to do as well!

So, any thoughts y'all have and want to share, I'll be happy to pass them along to Ann Marie. Thanks guys!

Well the first pair are mottled bantams but I cannot be sure the breed...are the feet feathered? The second one is a blue silkie roo (I think roo) and the third looks like an andulsian, just not sure.
