Thoughts and prayers winging their way now, Scott!

for the family.

Prayers coming. I have been praying for so many BYCers lately. Have fun on your trip.

Kathy, I live the pics! You should keep the buff and silver EE's in your "'multi-colored layers and misfits" pen! And again your BRs are amazing. Hope the Ameraucana pulls through or nella gets it. With your BR's, have you been hatching mostly females?

Love the chicks Laura! On the dels don't you have 3 girls and a guy, then a trio with the BR? That's amazing! And then a low number of boys, I believe, with the NH? Lucky you!

It sure looks that way doesn't it? I am thinking with the younger ones that there are way more boys in that bunch. With the younger dels right now I am thinking either 3 boys, 3 girls or 4 boys and 2 girls. Too soon to tell for sure yet.

Ugh, I hate how it's too soon to tell. I am so impatient. I go around saying that I don't care about gender yet and that I just want to enjoy the chicks... YEAH RIGHT!

Well since EE's have been brought up, I have 7 in the brooder from bargain. Their sire is a Lav Ameraucana.

Reba still can't stand up and walk properly and DH found Lexie on the floor of the coop rather than the roost. Last night, I saw that she didn't make it past the first rung and tonight, poor sweet girl didn't even make it that far. She was very dark in her comb today and DH says her abdomen is rock hard. I noticed Sunny, the only other remaining original, peck a bit at Lexie so I knew that she knew Lexie's time was short. I've seen that so many times, one "showing" me another who is about to pass on. I may lose both Lexie and Reba tonight. DH put Lexie in the hospital cage with Reba for the night. They are five and a half now, so I guess I should be happy they lived that long. I want to open up Lexie when she passes and see what is in her abdomen since she hasn't laid an egg in over a year. Tom hates to do that, but sometimes, I just have to see what's been going on in there. Lexie misses Ivy, I know. Those two were the ones that made me love BRs. My poor, sweet little chicken-girls.

Oh Cyn I forgot to tell you how sorry I am. Is Reba hatchery? I hope that they both go quickly and peacefully.

Laura, someday... LOL
