Thanks, sweetie, I remembered you told me one more name other than the Foley's and Hare was it, but of course, it was on the SL, not the BLRs. You can really tell on the SL that they are not hatchery stock. Mine were always just streaky till later on down the line. These start out laced.

Looks like Beau, Lizzie and JoBeth will be staying here for the time being. Poor LH has chickers coming out of her ears (wow, what a visual, LOL!) and has no room at the Inn for them right now, so I'll be keeping the Terrible Trio for awhile. They are about 21 weeks old so should begin laying soon. At least, then, if I get another broody, I'll have something purebred to put under her. It's hard to sell crossbred chicks, especially the roosters, and the Orp fertility here is too sketchy to count on, so makes sense to keep them for a bit till my youngsters grow up and I have fertile eggs from my D'Anvers or my Barred Rocks, not that I'll need anymore chicks for a couple years anyway.

I have a theory about Suede's fertility issues. The big guy can't catch his women unless they are dustbathing. The dust hole is about a foot deep so you do the math.

No way he can get it done with those logistics! Why they don't automatically bow to his kingliness is beyond me--of course, LH's explanation is that they are simply defective wenches. I'm beginning to agree with that assessment.

Nugget is on Day 18 with June's lone egg. Thank goodness for Nugget. Darn that Emily! She's a lovable goofball who is clueless about motherhood. Someone needs to reprogram that hen.
