These are my special birthday eggs. The first ones didn't make it, and I have only 3 in the hatcher ..... PLEASE, babies, PLEASE make it out!

**Begins to light the candles and chant the hatching prayer** Come on little babies! Kathy has been waiting patiently long enough to see your sweet fuzzy little faces. No dawdling now! Up and at 'em! No time like the present!

Good luck on this hatch Kathy. I'd stay up with you, but I can't keep my eyes open now as it is. And we all know how this can take all night long some times. I'm there with ya in spirit at least. I hope I see lots of pictures of three perfect little wee ones first thing tomorrow morning!

Nellabean, you might as well put me on the list begging for your company, too! You really do it up, girl!

LOL, well if I continue to piss off my boss by not doing other people's work instead of my own (?????) I might have to make coops for a living.

I do consider finding an easy and relatively inexpensive way to make a coop or little coop/run and making a bunch to sell. I need some extra money. It's easy to find places to keep tool since all my pockets are empty, ha ha ha. Where is my empty pocket smiley when i need it?!

Now do you see why my boyfriend gave me a home depot giftcard for my birthday? LOL. Flowers don't build coops!

Also, ladies, I know i have said this before........use CLAMPS! They are ingenius.

I made each "wall" on the ground, and then clamped to the frame and screwed it on. Super easy.

You can never have too many clamps. Home Depot has a "Kit" you can buy that comes with 6 of them for $25. Can't beat that.

Because I am a giant nerd, I have a picture of my clamp collection. I sent it to my boyfriend as proof of my nerdiness.

Alright Kathy, what the heck are you hatching? I don't remember hearing about it before now. Anything exciting?

NellaBean your nerdiness is welcomed here anytime.

As for that boss I so understand that scenario. Many moons ago I had a senior partner that was an idiot like that. He constantly complained that "I was never available when he needed me, I always seemed to be out of the office or at the courthouse" and why was this? I looked at him and said "I would love to be in the office working on my own cases and being available to you, however, that will require you hiring 1 competent lawyer as opposed to the 6 law school runaways you currently have me babysitting!" He told me to put my foot down and make sure the 6 rookie were doing their jobs. I was standing there looking at him like he had three heads. Weeks later I get the same comments from him and we repeat the conversation so I told the 6 rookies...handle you own cases or become accounts. 3 weeks later the senior partner charges into my office and starts yelling about how a judge called him wanting to know why the attorney of record was not in court that morning. I find the dingbat who tells the SP and I that he assumed I would be going because "that is what I do". I laughed and walked back to my office and 10 minutes later the SP comes back and tells me he has talked to the judge and I can go over to the courthouse immediately because he is expecting me. I said "Okie dokie" pointed to two hand trucks sitting there loaded with file boxes and said "Sir, you will have to cover my trial that begins in an hour, the files are there ready to be loaded in a van and by the way your client...he is a real Ahole. Have a great 4 days!" I left and let him explain to the judge why I was 2 floors up with another judge on a case that was not mine instead of in his beginning a trial that had been scheduled for 6 months.

After that incident, I implemented to firm weekly staff meetings....where we all sat down with our calendars and went over the cases for the week...including the SP. I stopped doing their work for them and let them hang themselves and told the SP to take a flying leap and feel free to do my cases as well as the 6 dingbats' by himself or leave me alone. He chose to leave me alone.

Sometimes Nella you just gotta let the boss have it by dumping it all in their lap. Then again, I never feared being fired/terminated so it depends on your situation for sure. But, you cannot do everyone's work and your own and be effective and even an idiot should realize that.

Talk about a slow hatch!

One is out, one is working on zipping, and the third one I am unsure about.

I never mentioned this hatch, because I didn't want to jinx myself. LOL For my birthday my DH got me Coronation Sussex eggs. They came in 2 batches. The first batch was a bust, and this batch has the 3 in the hatcher.

OMG it is a Hellz Angel

I did not think this thread had a specific topic...did it? Oops

Okay...I have a question a CHICKEN question....

Can a chicken get a simple case of sneezes after being soaked through in the rain in cooler temps?

Ebony sounds like me in the morning sneezing her fool head off and she got a good soaking the other night in about 65 degree temps before I could get her in....I was late getting home dealing with this stupid truck stuff. Oh and the wind was kicking pretty good that evening...she was shivering when I brought her in and dried her under the heat lamp.
