I think my chicks are gonna look alot like your Hedwig. I love Maya's blue coloring! They are looking great! Keep us updated on their growth .... I can't believe how much they have grown!

I have a really bizarre question to ask y'all. I'm almost embarrassed to ask it, as I know that, no matter how I phrase this, it's gonna sound really...ummm....risque? rude? socially unacceptable? So don't none of y'all get the wrong impression. It's not like I go around listening to my roosters butts all the time. *insert blushing face here*

OK, so y'all know I have the three extra boys, Brutus, Red, and CB. Right? Well, CB, the smallest of the three boys has, for lack of a better term, a musical butt! I'm not kidding! Whenever I'm out in the covered run with the boys, and I pull CB around to me for a quick snuggle, his butt squeaks! I kid you not! It makes all kinds of squeaky little noises! And it's not just one note. Oh no! There are several different notes and tones to it. I hear it when I snuggle him when he's on the ground, and I hear it when I pick him up and cuddle him. Position makes no difference.

I thought at first that it might be his wing and or tail feathers rubbing together. But no, I held him in such a way that it couldn't be that which was making the noise. It's coming from his little butt! He has a musical little hiney!!

So, here's my question: Do any of you have, or have had in the past, a rooster with a musical tooshie?

Folks, meet CB, short for Cry Baby, for when he was just a little guy, he cried about every darn thing under the sun!

Today, it could just as easily represent Crazy Bird, for he really is a bit on the lunatic fringe. But I love him to pieces. He makes me laugh with all of his antics, attitude and personality. The Great Spirit surely packed a double dose of personality into this tiny package!
