Oh, yes, I like that! Thanks Nella! Hey, I have quite a few reds, too. Funny thing, I ended up with 8 RIR roosters and only 1 rosecomb RIR roosters. The girls .... of course, mostly all are rosecombs! What luck I have.

Anyway, I think they are looking beautiful lately.

Beth, I think Emma is gonna be a nice looking girl for ya! She already looks to have a broad chest, too. I like that little Boo, too! What a cutie! I wonder what my 2 new mutts are gonna look like. As well as the 2 mutts my EE mama is raising. Hmmmm...

Gloria Jean, That looks like a nice Delaware girl you got there!

Yes, that is Miss Polly .... Isn't she just huge, and gorgeous! Leggs is my baby Jersey Giant. I can hardly wait to see how big he gets!

I am not so sure that I am gonna keep my American Orps, because I am really liking the English type. But, because these 2 girls are so beautiful, I just must keep them. I have a couple of the blue boys, too. They are nice, but the girls are gorgeous. Awwww, too many pretty birds, such a problem......

Thanks Scott.
She is the best colored and the friendliest too. When she was a few days old she had the darker streak on her head. I guess the coloring is better on those. Also she is the biggest of the three. The little dark rock roo is crowing LOL or trying too. He is getting some streaks of light color around his head and neck whats that about? Are they suppose to have them? I know nothing about the rocks except my little Bonnie is the sweetiest ever. She loves Bonnie blue berries LOL. I can't get the smiles to work today for me well so none in my post. Thanks again Gloria Jean

That is one cute itty bitty cochin. If I liked feather footed girls she would be great. I have red mud and a one part brahma told me no more feathered feet here.. Sweet sweet. Gloria Jean

First tell her you want a refund or she pays for shipping chicks. If not then you send a letter to the Attorney General and complain. You paid for unbroken eggs. You paid for coronation chicks. You didn't pay for splits. (whatever that is). You did your part she did not. Refund or chicks, either way she's gotta pay.

Kathy- I am REALLY gonna be sad about Luke if Emma keeps looking as good as she does now.

I miss him more than I thought I would anyway -

He really took care of those girls! And I miss his grumpiness in the morning.

I like Leggs- is he an up and coming keeper type roo?

Nella, my husband refers to every chicken I own as Sunday Dinner.

when it rains it pours. My neighbor found a pile of feathers and a bunch of broken eggs in her planter. Looks like one of the bantams squeezed through the fence and made a nest over there. Stray dog has been hanging out in the neighborhood....plus the usual wildlife. I didn't notice anyone missing, but went through with a flashlight tonight and I am now missing a bantam birchen cochin. I think she has been sneaking over every day to lay an egg and then finally stayed over last night to sit onthe nest. I am in a rural residential area so any birds out at night don't last long.

Darn it!

OMGosh! I so identify with that Kathy!!

Yup! And if they're out in the household yard, it gets even worse than if they're just over in their own scratch yard!

Open that gate, and nothing gets done for the rest of the day!

Kathy, those are some great looking birds! I love them all!

And Beth, I love your little flock of mutts! You're a woman after my own heart there for sure! Ain't they just the funnest birds to have around? And I really like the fact that with most of mine, I can tell who is who from all the way across the yards. That was never easy to do with a flock of buff orps running around. Thank heavens for leg bands!

Well, no fault of the birds today, but I didn't get diddly squat done other than to make a trip into town, take care of some banking business, shop for some new bedding in preparation for a visit this weekend from Denny's sis and BIL, picked up a belated birthday gift for our next door neighbor, and back home. Gaah!

I hate it when I don't accomplish a single thing on the house for the entire day. This is the fourth consecutive day in which bupkis has been achieved!
rant.gif
I'm so ready for bed! Maybe if I go now, I can get an earlier start on tomorrow! *sigh* So, good night my friends, and sweet dreams. I'll catch up to y'all tomorrow...............

Oh! And Nella! Love your little hooligans too! Such colorful flocks everyone!

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I suppose if I had more birds they'd be looking for ways to escape. Fortunatley they seem content with the yard so far. I only have one bantam hen and she's gone broody twice. I've never had one lay a clutch of eggs though. I usually give them the eggs of my choosing.
Well you take care, I know you do your best but sometimes even that isn't good enough is it?

Love ya all
