Yes and she had her Diva day just a few more burdock in her forelock to be removed and she is ready to go...now we are waiting on Tony to call one of us and give us the updated schedule.

Alrighty ladies and gents, I am happy to report that the only sore spots are the spots that actually hit the ground. My tail bone is okay, my back feels fine. I have a bruise the size of a footprint on the left side of my rear end and that big scrape on my arm which is now bruising underneath too. But everything else feels pretty good. I was extra careful on the steps this morning and even though they were "dry" the bottom one was still slick....definitely going to scrub those suckers clean with the deck brush this weekend, then apply that traction tape. They are big, wide steps.....I will have to get rolls as they are probably 5-6 feet wide.

So SDWDers what do you all think about Late March/April to have a building party here? We can cook out, help each other construct stuffs or at least get it cut out and put together into transportable sized pieces...goof off, trade spring chickies or hatching eggs yada yada?

In put here...let's hear it. I have plenty of space for camping for anyone wanting to stay overnight, I have floor space and there is a hotel one it exSouth. And I have a HUGE barn approximately 40'W x 70'L that we can work in if the weather is so-so but that is when I moved here and it was nice that time of year.

So toss suggestions and whatnot...let' hear em.


So on the horsey note...once Joleta is here and settled in I am going to hardcore start tracing and tracking down the owner of a horse I see in a pasture everyday...I want this horse as her pasture buddy. I cannot explain why but I really like the horse. S/He is very sweet and comes right up to the fence whenever I stop the truck and comes up for a pat if I walk to the fence. I have not got up and personal enough to check for Mare or Gelding status but I can say without a doubt ...it is not a stallion.

Oh, what a pretty red roan horsey. Hey, maybe the owner will be happy for you to buy it.

I know around here everyone's unloading horses because it's so expensive to feed them. And if you have pasture space, people will be coming to your door and asking you if you want a horse! Often giving them away for free or selling them for very cheap.

I've always wanted a horse, but, I really don't have the space for one (sadly enough). We have 1.05 acres, and 68% of that is "protected wetlands". Our house stands on a build up of earth in one corner, with a fairly narrow (20-40ft) wrap of yard going around it. I think in the far corner of the lot it is dry, but getting there would be a different story... it's lame because our land wouldn't have been a natural wetlands in the first place, just a yard with a stream running through it... But when they put in the road, they (seemingly deliberately) put the culvert up too high, so the water pools over here... We've only lived here 6 years and we now have half the trees that we had when we moved here because they have all been falling in wind storms because the soil is too wet and mushy. Trees only grow to be 30 years tall when they'be been in a more or less stable environment. They don't usually start to topple unless something has changed drastically.

redfeather...that is what I am hoping. I am hoping I can walk up and say "Hey here's $500 or whatever, I want that horse" and come home with it. And did you notice...I do believe I see a dun dorsal line. The fence has barbed wire on the top two strands and horsey and I can only reach so far and with the weeds, it makes me sound like an idiot but I will find out who owns the horse and I will eventually have the horse. I am determined as I see the horse everyday and have never seen the first person out there with it so I shall focus and go get the horsey. hehehehe
