Aw cwap Knox! I thought you knew about this thread! Of course you're welcome! Come on in, pull up a bean bag chair and make yourself at home. All are welcome in the SDWD! Sorry that none of us thought to invite ya in. I really did think you knew all about us in here.

Well, you're here now. Enjoy your stay!

NOPE! SEE? Every body forgets me here in Ohio - its ok a few tear stained pillows at night is nothing - i will prevail! LOL

We aren't having turkey. We're having fried chicken tenders with some dressing we had in the freezer from last year. All I want is some of Tom's chicken and my apple pie! But, I also want vanilla bean ice cream to put on top and I'm not going out in the craziness to get any.

LH, in honor of the Native Americans who see this holiday just a tad different than the rest of the folks, we are NOT having Thanksgiving--at least that will be our explanation for anyone who asks why. Tom asked how Cheyenne always handles it. Told him she skipped the drama this year since she isn't in school at the moment.

I work for CrackerBarrel so I go in at 10pm tonight and start baking about 300 pies. Last year all by myself. This year I get a helper. Been doing this now for the last 5 yrs. We have Pecan ,Chocolate Pecan, Apple Streusel, Pumpkin, and Pumpkin Streusel. After all that it's hard to look at a pie for awhile!

Cynthia, you just send all that "awful" pie this way. I'll see to it that you need never be embarrassed by it again!

We're going next door to Pete and Robin's house, as she understands my lack of proper cooking facilities at this time. I'll make it up to her with a delicious dinner next year. In the mean time, things went from bad to worse in the kitchen facilities department here at the Eberhardt Ranch.

It has never happened before, and we've had lower temperatures than even what it got down to last night. For the first time ever, our HOT water line in the big trailer froze!

Therefore, no cooking, no bathing, and no washing of dishes. At least not in the trailer. Hmmm...I suppose I'll have to break down and take all of the dirty dishes Annie created last night and do them up in the bathtub in the house!

The little turd! *sigh* Another day, another adventure in the frozen white Northwest!

Nick, I'm about 25-30 miles north of Ellijay just before you cross into North Carolina. You're in Buckhead? Wow, you really are in the city! I grew up in Decatur, graduated from Columbia High School, then after DH retired from the military, lived in Lilburn, then Dacula.
