why yes, they are. One dozen peanut butter chocolate chip, one dozen oatmeal butterscotch. I am on glass of wine #2 (or is it #3?). They are small glasses. Sigh.

Just went out to check on the brooder chickens. That brooder is 4 ft deep and 6 feet wide. Each side has a shelf that also works as a roost. The heat lamp is in the middle. The older batch is along the left wall, sitting on the roost, all in a row. The young batch is huddled in the back right corner. they are all about as far away from each other as possible, LOL. Even though the younger group are huddled in the corner, they don't look cold. Just look like they are avoiding the "mean chickens". All other mom/baby brooders seem fine. All babies are huddled under momma's, keeping nice and warm. I checked inside the coop with a flashlight. The chickens all looked...normal....cardboard over the windows to keep drafts out.....temp in the coop is around 20. Which is about the same as outside. Just no biting wind inside the coop. I checked under the bushes to make sure nobody got left outside, just in case.

Everything seemed fine, so in the house I went. Frankie goes out with me on these nightly excursions, just in case. If I slip and fall, he can lay next to me to keep me warm LOL. I would take Molly but I think she would let me die and then eat my corpse. Little monster. She and Frankie are outside playing in the snow. They bite mouthfuls of it and then run around like crazy. The "old dogs" are inside with me. Bella is wearing her sweater and stealing Toby's food. Toby is watching her.

I am eating cookies and wine, yaaaaaaaaaaaay.

heck no, its too cold to build stuff. I need a nice 50 degree day to finish up my projects so I can clear out the carport. That 4x4 coop still needs a door and a roof. Sigh. I think I am going to sell it though. I don't really NEED it. I need the money more than the coop.

Make blankets and sell them! Come get some fleece .... think of it as construction work.

Nella do be careful in this mess....I went to town earlier to pick up some extras so I do not have to go out for anything tomorrow....milk, bread, peanut butter etc... I slid about 35' down one of the hills coming home...luckily I am pretty good at counter steering so I stayed on the road and only about 8 degrees out of whack....but it was a mess out there and it has not stopped since.

So...hot water carrying to the barn in the morning for Jo and to the coops for the birds. They are not coming out tomorrow...not with a high of 18 and snow showers all day. The ducks love it though. LOL They come and go from their crates in the garage to outside and back to their crates....I keep the garage door up a couple of feet so they can go in and out when they want.

Yes...the outside of Jo does wonders for the inside of me....

PS Kathy did you mail the precious grandbaby package here yet? I have not received anything and wanted to make sure it was not lost in Post Office Hell.

Ha ha ha...I have 6 fleece blankets sitting here.....ready to make 3 tied blankets. One of these days......I need to make them and then leave one in each car. Just in case I slide off the road....no need to freeze to death! Plus they are cute!

Wally World has 2 packs of matching fleece blankets for $5. I bought 2 sets that are similar. Should make some neat blankets. 1 for each car, and 1 for the house. Must...buy....more....
