It cracks me up to watch the "younguns" out in the big yard. The 8 of the young olive eggers (4 boys, 4 girls) all stay relatively close together as they wander around scratching and looking for the good bits.

The 2 other kids i moved out last weekend, that are actually older but stayed in a brooder really really long stay together too.

and then everyone goes back to the coop in a big group to go to bed at night. I love having all of my birds put themselves away again.

Got all my feeders completely filled today......I plan on doing a last minute refill Friday morning before I leave for Ohio, but other than that all I have left to do chickenwise, before the big trip is daily watering. Whooo hooo.....

Delawares, Sussex, an Icelandic, and a few mixes....

of course, the Dels come right up to me....

I have 4 LF Cochins. 2 barred, 2 blue. I think they are all males .....

More? ya want more? I got lots more .... How about some Icelandics?

Here are the Jan 10 (5 chicks) and Jan 17 (9 chicks) hatches....
Next I will have the New Years Day hatches.

Icelandics hatched New Years Day.....
The first two are of Della, the chick I lost in with the Delawares.

Honestly, she hatched out yellow and I lost her. I could not figure out which one she was. Anyway, now she is found.
