No New Hampshires yet. The NH girls are still penned with a Barred Rock cockerel for the project. I have a couple dozen project chicks now, and another 30 or so in the incubator. I will be moving the BR out soon, and put the New Hampshires boys back in with their girls.

And just think of all of the pro's of having chickens versus having human children!
CHICKENS DON'T:
ask for your car keys on a Friday night,
bring their friends over after school to eat you out of house and home
talk back to you and sass you in public
make your auto insurance rates skyrocket
CHICKENS DO:
give hours of free entertainment
make us yummy eggs
provide excellent meat
make awesome insect exterminators
a great job of turning over a compost pile [nobody does it better than a flock of hungry hens!!]
make a great auxiliary wake up alarm [no electricity or batteries needed!]
have wonderful listening skills when you're feeling down and need someone to talk to
give love unconditionally
And last but not least, if a hen or roo doesn't work in your coop, you can always rehome them!!
Hi all!! Thought I better check in had been a day or two. Update Big Willy has been put in his proper place by none other than Jack! After all the times of me being attacked I kinda felt sorry for the big pain. Everyone seems to be adjusting to their new/temporary homes. Can't wait to get this last group outside to their brooder. Update on my new friend things are going better than I could have imagined. It's wonderful to not have to explain my love/ addiction to chickens, lol. Hope everyone is doing good and wishing everyone a great day!!!
LH poor Sarah give her a hug for me! How is Cheyenne?? Hope your taking care of yourself!!
Kathy you have babies everywhere!! How in the world do you manage??
Nella do becareful on your travels!! Wishing you a safe trip
Nick even though the plastic coop would be a dream to keep clean I agree with Nella that wood would be your better bet! Hope the play is coming along good for ya!
Brandon, I haven't candled them yet. Today is Day 5. I may try later tonight or tomorrow night. Besides the 7 Suede eggs, there are two Dels, both from my Ellie who usually throws pullets, and one from my EE, June--She just started back laying and I popped her egg in so LH may get another like poor little Hedwig.
