Well I did well on my initial downsizing. Which was really to change focus on what I really wanted to raise. Now just figuring out whos who on the last two hatches and dealing with them. THen I can add the few extras here and there and I think I will be set. No more Roosters Kathy!!! I have plenty, but LH loves Roosters!!! Just sneak them in her Hen house when you come to visit.,

Poor Lucy the kitty has been locked up the whole weekend as I don't trust Frankie with her when I am not around. She was getting used to roaming the house when I was home....and just spent the last 3 days locked in the extra bedroom. She is out now and going CRAAAAZY.

I sold 2 of my good broodies locally to another BYCer. They are leaving tomorrow.

So not only am I still downsizing, I am doing future downsizing by getting rid of the broody girls! I am such a genius

Because I have 3 or 4 more who look JUST like her and also go broody. They are neat girls, but I am not overly attached another local byc-er was looking for a couple broodies, so off they will go!

I will miss the cochin/rir girl more, just because she is a sweeter thing....but one of my roosters has singled her out and I feel sorry for her now. She will be happier elsewhere.

And that rooster will taste delicious in a few weeks

NICK YOOHOO Now listen up before you go to Cyn's house...here are the RULES well mine anyway

1. When you get out vehicle and approach house...look for tree on your left with a spray bottle hanging there....it is bleachy water...spray your shoes; do them one at a time and hold your foot in the air until it dries....then repeat. Come to think of it, as you mentioned Suede...spray yourself from the waist down before you go see him...just in case

2. Have a blueberry muffin to give to Cyn as payment for visiting with his royal Studmuffin self;

3. Just stare at him and pay the proper homage do not touch...you know "Wow Suede is Awesome!" and "Suede Rocks!" and such other appropriate homage but do not say anything derrogatory such as "Wow Suede is fat" or "Oh man he is huge"... just stick with awesome and fabulous. hehehehe

4. MOST IMPORTANT RULE: Tell Suede that LadyHawk loves him and know that it is his women who are defective because he is PERFECT!

KATHY!!! Look what Maggie and Cosette did this week! Well, 8 days actually, but why split hairs?

That one musta HURT!

Poor girl! And yet, not a peep of protest out of her when she laid it.

Oh, and did I tell you what she did again earlier this past week? Around Tuesday or Wednesday, you know I can't keep track of time worth diddly......Anyhow, she jumped the fence and went visiting the boys for a few hours. I retrieved her THREE times before I gave up and let her stay over there, just so you know!

And do you know WHY she went to visit the boys? Apparently, my cleaning and maintenance skills leave something to be desired in her book. She wanted to lay her egg in the newly cleaned boys coop!

Ya know something? I'm beginning to think there are moments when Maggie is just a down right little pill!

Aaaah, but I still love her and wouldn't trade her for the world. Now if I could just get my hands on a Del boy to make more like Cosette!

Those are some beautiful eggs! I love the way Cosette's eggs are more blueish than green, like Maggie's. Goes to show that cross works well, doesn't it? LOVE them! Those girls are great layers!
