Well 12 in the brooder now. I have a dilemma. I have 4 chicks 1/2 way zipped, and they keep coming. They stop there. They have been breathing in the eggs for days.

They are obviously alive.

I have 7 EE's, 2 BO's, a Delaware or "female" Rhodel, and 2 Lav Ameraucanas. One might be Splash, I'm not sure. Then zipping (well, not sleeping in the egg... an EE, 2 BR, and a BBS Orp. Would love for them to hatch.

My Delaware SOP is here! THANK YOU SCOTT! Off to examine Jess and Cassidy.

I just learned that Osama bin Laden shielded himself with one of his (many, sadly) wives and son during the attack. What a SICK human being.

Off to baked potatoes with broccoli, sour cream and cheddar cheese for dinner- one of my favorite meals. My grandmother would always make it.

That's one of my favorite meals, too, Nick.

LH, the co-op had no Knockout! They had two bags that were torn apart and I wanted three, but had to settle for a bag of 5 way scratch for my birds, nowhere near the quality of the Knockout.

ACE has a Gamecock Conditioner that is 17% protein, but it's also $17- they don't carry Knockout anymore, it seems.. Hopefully, the co-op will have Knockout by the end of the week.

Nella, I am glad you were able to get her out of there and a bonus is that she is closer to you.

I have enjoyed the pics everyone.
Congrats on your hatch Nick

Kathy,

hopefully that won't affect you any.

Kathy, I have a question about your Delaware project.

Isn't it just a cross between BR over NH? Am I missing something? What are all of the steps that you must do? Bob Blosl said that...

Here are my 4 older Delaware chicks, they are almost 6 weeks old. The only one I have named is the big female that is looking out. I named her Shug, short for sugar because she is sweet and mostly white.

Kathy and Laura, they're all looking wonderful.

Laura: Looks to me like you might have two girls and a boy there in those sweet little BR's! And I'm convinced that what I'm seeing in your Del's is three girls and a boy! That Shug!! Boy oh boy! You can definitely see the sweetness in her eyes!
